Bond Breakers
Stack casting, a method of building that involves casting concrete panels on top of one another and then lifting them into place, requires concrete bond breakers. When bond breakers are used, the panels will not bond together during curing, allowing them to be separated and removed efficiently.
After spraying bond breakers on to the concrete panel, another panel is poured over the first, creating a barrier between the two concrete panels.
There are a number of benefits associated with the use of bond breakers in the construction of tilt-up stack casts. These include:
- In order to reduce the possibility of damage during removal, bond breakers ensure that the panels are easily separated from one another. By doing so, the construction site can be separated in a more efficient and safe manner, increasing productivity.
- Concrete bond breakers are used to ensure that concrete panels are of high quality and free of defects, by preventing the concrete from adhering to one another and creating rough, uneven surfaces.
- When used in tilt-up stack cast construction, bond breakers can result in significant cost savings, as they reduce the risk of damage during separation and prevent the need for costly repairs.
- Bond breakers prevent the panels from bonding together, allowing concrete to cure and set properly. This improves the structural integrity of the panels, making them stronger and more durable.
