CCS Reveal 3-5 is a water-based chemical retarder used to expose the aggregate in concrete driveways and slabs.

CCS Reveal 3-5 is designed to delay the set of the mortar paste on the surface of the concrete to a controlled depth, without delaying the hardening of the concrete slab below the surface layer.

Recommended Uses

CCS Reveal 3-5 is ideal for producing exposed aggregate architectural finishes on surfaces such as driveways.

It can also be used for exposing aggregate on horizontal, construction/or cold pour joints to achieve efficient bonding of any subsequent fresh concrete.

Storage

Store at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC in a sealed container, protected from sunlight and frost. When not in use, the container should remain sealed at all times. The product has a shelf life of 6 months.

Application Guidelines

Using a low pressure garden sprayer apply a uniform application of CCS Reveal 3-5 to the freshly placed concrete surface prior to the initial set, and as soon as the free-bleed water has dried.
Once the concrete has set (usually within 1- 12 hours depending on weather conditions), the soft cement paste should be brushed off using a soft broom and a high-pressure hose.
Care should be taken not to allow wash down water and cement paste to enter drains. Allow the concrete to fully cure before applying two full coats of CCS Hi-build Enduro concrete sealer.
